That’s a wrap for Summer 2024!
While the CCI team has been working hard and continuing to grow, we still found ways to unwind, connect, and enjoy the season.
Taking advantage of summer scheduling, one of our lab technicians enjoyed bringing her daughter in for a look at what Mom does during her workday.
With women still a minority in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) workforce, it is important to not only provide access to education but find ways to encourage young girls interest in STEM fields at an early age.
Research shows that a primary factor in engagement with and success in STEM education and career paths, is having a role model in the field. We were excited to host our young guest, and have her mom share with her some of the interesting, exciting and challenging aspects of her career.
National Night Out is “an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.”
During our local NNO event this past August in Columbus, WI, CCI was proud to sponsor one of the refreshment stands for all to enjoy, while the local Fire, Police and EMS forces provided fun and demonstrations of their skills and resources.
And finally, our summer season wouldn’t be complete without the annual CCI employee golf tournament! We enjoyed a delicious lunch, catered by the Columbus Country Club, followed by 9 holes.
Prizes were awarded for the skillful and not-so-coordinated alike in categories such as: Overall Best Score; Longest Drive; Worst Score; Shortest Drive; and “Closest to the Flamingo”
